Conor McGregor drags Nate Diaz and USADA over drug-testing policies

‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor had some harsh words for Jeff Novitsky and his colleagues at USADA.

In preparation for his upcoming trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier at UFC 262, former UFC champ Conor McGregor has been the subject of multiple random in-competition drug tests from USADA. These policies are often seen as a nuisance to fighters, but McGregor took a particular shot at the agency for a different policy.

Taking to Twitter to post a video of his latest workout session, McGregor said, “USADA tested me right before this. Blood and urine. That’s twice this week. I don’t blame them. I’m an animal. What irks me though is that there never an announcement of athletes caught anymore?”

The #6 ranked lightweight wasn’t finished there, as he continued his Twitter tirade. This time, he took a shot at old rival Nate Diaz and his 2019 positive test.

Radio silence from Novitsky left McGregor without the answers he wanted.

Inevitably, Diaz fired back at his former opponent through social media. Posting a photo of a defeated and exhausted McGregor, Diaz mocked the McGregor FAST cardio training program and said, “that’s what steroids do to you”.

The Irishman made sure to clear up the continuity for Stockton’s favourite son in a retort.

Diaz wasn’t impressed with McGregor’s conditioning in some of his most recent bouts, and claimed to be making a system of his own, similar to McGregor FAST. The former champ wasn’t having any of that.

The pair last fought at UFC 202, with McGregor winning via majority decision in a hard fought bout.
