Henry Cejudo trashes three UFC champs and teases return

Henry Cejudo trashes three UFC champs and teases a UFC return in Twitter jab.

Former UFC flyweight and bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo has teased a return to action. Cejudo took to Twitter to trash three current UFC champs. Triple C has offered to ‘make America great again’ by winning the belts. Cejudo has long teased the idea of becoming the first UFC triple champ. Now he seems happy to come back to any belt.

In his offer to Dana White, he called 125lb champion Deiveson Figuieredo a ‘walking pez dispenser’. Cejudo won the flyweight belt from Demetrious Johnson with a split-decision victory in 2018. He then welcomed then-bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw to 125lbs and defended his belt in 32 seconds.

135lb champ and featherweight aspirations

Following Dillashaw’s doping ban, Cejudo moved up to face Marlon Moraes for the vacant bantamweight belt. He won the belt with a knockout win and subsequently knocked out Dominick Cruz to defend it. Cejudo is the only man to defend the title in two different divisions. The current 135lb champion, Aljamain Sterling, was also in Triple C’s sights. He called Sterling a paper champ and an actor, in reference to his controversial DQ victory over Petr Yan to win the belt.

Cejudo didn’t restrict his attacks only to divisions he was previously champion of. Long touted to try for the featherweight belt, the American set his sights on current champion Alexander Volkanovski. He called the Australian a ’crocodile hunter’.

It will be interesting to see if Henry Cejudo does return and if he is capable of becoming the first triple world champion. He has a race on his hands because current ONE middle and light-heavyweight champion Reinier de Ridder has expressed interest in a fight for the heavyweight strap.
