Paige VanZant is seeking a KO victory over Rachael Ostovich

Paige VanZant aims to make it 2-0 against rival Rachael Ostovich when the two collide at Bare Knuckle FC, July 23. ‘PVZ’ will welcome Racahel Ostovich to the promotion following her signing earlier this year.

In a recent interview with MMA Junkie, VanZant opened up about her expectations going up against Rachael Ostovich. The pair previously fought at UFC Fight Night 143 where VanZant submitted Ostovich in the second of the contest and believes that victory will give her a mental edge over the debutant.

“When you beat somebody, you have a mental edge over them. You just do. Beyond that, having the experience in bare-knuckle, especially in BKFC … I think my experience, I won’t have that hesitation going into this next one, and I’ll know exactly what to do, and I’ll be more comfortable.”

Paige VanZant made her bare knuckle debut back in February after signing a four fight contract with the promotion following her release from the UFC.

Her debut didn’t go fully to plan as she lost a unanimous decision to Britain Hart. Despite this, VanZant is determined to bounce back in a big way. Splitting her time amongst American Top Team and renowned boxing trainer Pedro Diaz, VanZant is looking for the knockout and sounds like she’ll be disappointed with any other result.

“I’m coming for the knockout for sure. I don’t see any other way, especially with the coaches I have in my corner for this camp and how hard I’m training. I’ve sacrificed absolutely everything for this, so I’m coming for the knockout.”
