Khabib Nurmagomedov on becoming a UFC shareholder
By
VM StaffRemember when the UFC parent company, Endeavour, went public and we all bought a couple of shares? Well it seems Khabib Nurmagomedov has become a UFC shareholder, only he has got himself a bigger stake in the flagship MMA promotion (bigger than most of us mere mortals anyway).
Khabib has been making moves in the MMA world, despite recently retiring after the Justin Gaethje fight, he has become a coach to many upcoming fighters and launched his own promotion Eagle FC.
Outside of the fight world has also been eventful, he recently signed on as a professional football player at Russian team FC Legion Dynamo.
Khabib wanted to clarify to the reporters at the press conference that he had bought his way into his shareholder position, he was not gifted these by UFC president Dana White.
“Yes, it is. We discussed this topic a lot with Dana White in our meetings. I see great prospects for UFC. They went to IPO and they have very great prospects. I don’t like gifts. We can say that I bought the UFC stock. This will be true.”
It seems that Khabib has bought enough shares in the UFC that he can have his say, perhaps we will finally get that UFC card in Russia (it would have to be big considering Bellator is going there first) topped with Russian talent?
Who knows.
