RIZIN announce LANDMARK series to begin in October
By
VM StaffPremier Japanese MMA organisation RIZIN announce LANDMARK series to begin with an event in Tokyo on October 2nd.
The events will be different to the usual RIZIN events as they will take place at famous landmarks across the country of Japan. The first event in Tokyo is at a currently undisclosed location in the city. There are plenty of amazing locations in that city for the organisers to choose from.
RIZIN have confirmed that these events will not necessarily be held at indoor venues. Outdoor MMA is always popular, but to do it with the backdrop of some of the most famous landmarks in Japan will be an amazing spectacle.
Whether it will be broadcast worldwide is as yet unknown. The only confirmed broadcaster so far is U-NEXT in Japan. These will be studio events and will as such take place with no crowd.
Three fights have so far been announced for RIZIN LANDMARK 1. They are Mikuru Asakura vs Kyohei Hagiwara, Masakazu Imanari vs Takeshi Kasugai and Shooto Watanabe vs Kuya Ito. The first LANDMARK event is shaping up to be one that should not be missed.
Before the first of the RIZIN LANDMARK events, there is RIZIN 30 to look forward to on September 19. The event will take place at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. The other Asakura brother is in action as Kai takes on Brazilian Alan Yoshihiro Yamaniha in the RIZIN Bantamweight Grand Prix and WMMA legend Ayaka Hamasaki takes on Emi Fujino.
Koji Takeda, Ulka Sasaki, Hiromasa Ougikubo and Naoki Inoue also feature on an action-packed card. You will be able to catch the action around the world on LiveNowGlobal PPV.
