Leah McCourt eyeing a quick return to action in Dublin in November

Everybody wants to be on a Dublin card, the energy and the crowd are enough to get fighters to sign on the dotted line. Belfast native Leah McCourt is no exception, as she is a regular in Dublin’s fair city. She’s fresh off her win opposite Jessica Borga last night in London and wants to get on that November 5th Bellator card in Ireland.

Borga looked well in the beginning, looking to get the upset with a kimura but McCourt used her background in Judo and Jiu-Jitsu to get out of it. Borga began to gas out and McCourt used the opportuniyt to pepper Borga with shots on the feet, even getting up from the ground and making the American follow her.

The Irish fans have made a habit of blowing the roof off the place, that place being Dublin’s 3 Arena. From the UFC to Bellator the crowd always raises the decibels. McCourt has had great success under the Bellator banner in Ireland, and it only makes sense to keep that hot streak going at Bellator 270.

“I just say ‘yes’ to whoever Jude (Samuel) or Mike (Kogan) text me,” McCourt said. “I’ll agree. I don’t care, just as long as I get a fight. Hopefully, it’ll be in Dublin in four weeks. … Yeah, I’m not hurt. There’s a bit of sore left but I can definitely fight in four weeks in Dublin.

Bellator 270 is an stacked with SBG talent; James Gallagher, Charlie Ward, Stephen Costello, Peter Queally, Pedro Carvalho, Darragh Kelly (not me) and many more. McCourt is looking to get in on this card and I am sure that if Bellator can find an opponent they will most certainly pencil her in for a scrap.
