Jake Paul grants Tommy Fury a Christmas gift on December 18th

After months of back-and-forth talks, Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury is reportedly on for December 18th as the two come to an agreement to fight in Miami, according to Jack Figg.

Prior to their latest reported agreement, social media has been home for Tommy Fury and Jake Paul’s talks, with the two using their platforms to get under each other’s skin on several occasions.

When did the ‘beef’ begin?

The feud between the two began back in May when the YouTube star goaded the ex Love Islander, claiming that his long-time girlfriend, Molly-Mae, had been in his Instagram private messages a couple of years prior to their love island antics.

Since then, the 22-year-old Brit responded with a video of him wearing a wig pretending to be Jake Paul, saying: “I don’t know how you take yourself seriously looking like this, my god. I put it on a plate for you, I asked you if you wanted a fight and you decided to laugh it off.

“Stick to your little YouTube world behind your little desk and don’t come over to this boxing world because you’ll get laid out in 30 seconds flat.”

Both fighters fought as recently as the 29th of August, when Jake Paul headlined the SHOWTIME card against former UFC Welterweight Champion, Tyron Woodley. On the same card, Tommy Fury, who’s now 7-0 in his professional career, fought the sparring partner of Paul, and former MMA fighter, Anthony Taylor, defeating him on points. Despite the two fighting different opponents, most fans were more interested in how they’d react to each other having both won their respective fights.

And it didn’t take long for fans to get what they wanted, as the two clashed backstage with security having to jump in to split them up after their teams clashed.

Most recently, the Fury family have had a lot to say about the potential fight between the two, giving Tommy an ultimatum if the worst happened and he lost. John Fury, father of Tommy and Tyson told GiveMeSport: “Tyson would batter him, Hughie would batter him, Shane would batter him, and we would retire him from boxing there and then, so there’s no pressure really.”

So, with the highly anticipated fight being all but announced by the two, will we see Tommy Fury forced to retire, or will we see his hand raised in victory with Jake Paul finally being defeated?
