UAE Warriors launches ‘UAE Warriors: Africa’

Following on from the hugely popular UAE Warriors Arabia series, UAE Warriors is pleased to launch UAE Warriors Africa. This new series of events will be dedicated to showcase some of the best unsigned African talent and provide a global platform for the athletes to advance their careers. 

In 2021 we saw the successful launch of UAE Warriors Arabia, providing fighters of Arab heritage amazing opportunities to compete on a global stage. Five action-packed UAE Warriors Arabia events were held throughout the year and we expect the Africa series to follow a similar path in 2022.

The first event in the new series will be UAE Warriors 25: Africa taking place on February 18, 2022, at the Jiu Jitsu Arena in Abu Dhabi and will feature athletes from over fifteen African nations. Italian-based Tunisian Wisem Hammami (6-0) vs. Shido Soto (5-0) of Angola will serve as the main event and promises to a be a thrilling contest between two undefeated fighters. 

In addition, UAE Warriors 26: Arabia will take place on the following evening, February 19, at the Jiu Jitsu Arena in Abu Dhabi. Former UAE Warriors champion Xavier Alaoui (12-4) is back in action and will face Lebanese M-1 veteran Fabricio Sarraff (29-9) in an exciting bantamweight main event.

Both events will be available to watch live on UFC Fight Pass.
