EMC 10 Weigh-In Results | Two title fights official, featherweight belt is vacated
By
VM StaffAll fighters have officially weighed in ahead of EMC 10, which takes place tonight inside Castello Düsseldorf, Germany. The milestone event marks the fast-growing European organisation’s tenth outing and is the most stacked card ever in their history. Three title fights sit atop the blockbuster show that also features some of the best prospects from the territory.
In the main event, one of the most popular fighters in the country, Kerim Engizek (17-4), looks to defend his EMC middleweight title for the first time against all-action Brazilian, Wallison Henrique (15-11, 1NC). The inaugural EMC lightweight champion will also be crowned when powerful striker, Ahmed Abdulkadirov (8-1), takes on the aggressive Alexandre Ribeiro (19-9-1, 1NC).
Fabiano Silva (32-14-1) was originally scheduled to defend his EMC featherweight title in the co-headliner but the 34-year-old missed weight by 0.85kg/2lbs. As a result, he has vacated the belt and only his opponent, oncoming wrecking ball Bekhruz Zukhurov (16-5), can claim gold with a victory on Saturday night.
Elsewhere on the card, top European fighter, Lom-Ali Eskiev (19-5, 1NC), makes his promotional debut in a lightweight contest opposite Welisson Paiva (7-2-1). Hot prospect, Islam Dulatov (7-1), looks to maintain his 100% finishing rate when he faces the undefeated Alexander Mikael (9-0) at welterweight and former boxing world youth champion, Deniz Ilbay (2-0), meets late-notice replacement, Denis Gondžala (1-0), in a 68.5kg/151lbs catchweight bout.
The whole EMC 10 card can be streamed worldwide on EMCTV.de, the organisation’s brand-new broadcasting platform, from 7pm CEST/6pm BST. For fans in Germany, the main card (starting at 10pm CEST/9pm BST) can also be viewed on BILD+. Potential stars of tomorrow display their skills on the amateur portion of the event, EMC Talents, which will be streamed from 5:30pm CEST/4:30pm BST on the EMC YouTube channel.
