Saputra took just over 2 minutes to submit his Thai opponent as he continues to make every contest look easier and easier. Applying the grappling pressure from the get go, the Indonesian took the fight to the mat just 15 seconds in, with the rest of the contest seeing Fairtex desperately trying to fight off his relentless approach.
The heel hook was snatched with speed and efficiency as Saputra stood over his grounded opponent, the win seeing Saputra move to 7-1 as a pro, all 7 wins in the first round and under the ONE banner.
This man doesn’t wait for anyone and now with a 7 fight win streak in ONE, it’s surely time for Saputra to fight for the chance to see a number next to his name in an attempt to home in on ONE gold.
One thing is for sure this man in undoubtably becoming one of the most efficient finishers in MMA, especially in a division once looked down upon when it comes to finishing potential. He may not have the hype surrounding him that he should, but this man doesn’t talk with his mouth, his language is combat and being fluent in said language spells trouble for his opponents.
In a division populated with the likes of Adriano Moraes, Demetrious Johnson and Kairat Akhmetov, how far do you think Saputra goes?
