EXCLUSIVE | Alex Lohore Speaks on OKTAGON 38 Clash, “It’s where I belong, nothing is easy in this sport”
By
VM StaffAt OKTAGON 38, Alex Lohore steps back inside the cage for the third time this year with a point to prove. “Da Killa Kid” is a veteran of the European MMA circuit at this point in his career and on December 30th, he will look to stand his ground as he returns to the welterweight division.
Hosted by the stunning O2 Arena in Prague, the Czech Republic will witness OKTAGON’s final event of 2022. Boasting a thirteen-fight card stacked with some of the biggest stars in the promotion, they’re closing out their year with fireworks. With around 20,000 fans expected to be in attendance, it’ll be a night to remember.
On the main card, Alex Lohore will face an opponent who is in a position that the Frenchman once found himself in. Matúš Juráček is surging through the ranks with his current win streak. Looking to get a fifth win under his belt with the OKTAGON banner, Lohore stands in his way as a man that has lived and breathed big fights since his pro debut in 2014.
Speaking to VMTV, he said:
“My experience will take him places he has never been, I will find that weakness and exploit it”
Following his loss to the middleweight champion Patrik Kincl in his last fight, Lohore will return to the welterweight division for his next fight. As he attempts to mark his return to the division with a big win, “Da Killa Kid” believes that his time spent at middleweight was an experience that he can learn from going forward:
“I gained the understanding that if I want to go middleweight I have to be much bigger and get used to the weight more. Welterweight is a hard cut but it’s where I belong, nothing is easy in this sport.”
Alex Lohore will face Matúš Juráček on the main card of OKTAGON 38. You can find the full card listed below:
