By
VM StaffKohout vs Malach is a grudge fight like no other, the tension could be felt as the fighters made their walk. The crowd soaks up the tension leaving you to just feel the emotions ensue. This bout was originally booked at Oktagon 16, and there’s been no love lost between the pair.
The first round began with Kohout domination. Submission attempts remained prevalent but were never rushed by Kohout, biding his time and ultimately just looking to keep his top control and keep the fight in his game. Malach had some moments on the feet but for the most part, Kohout controlled the bout.
The second round remained more of the same, with Kohout keeping in control in what looked to be one of his best performances to date with the grappling game on full show throughout the fight constantly threatening to take the neck, showing several different variations of the choke.
The third round was the most successful round for Malach where he started posing problems and keeping the bout against the cage of which if established sooner could’ve seen some success for Malach.
This bout sets Kohout up nicely for the future heading into 2023, 2-1 in his last 3 bouts. The potential opponents are endless and it allows for some exciting bouts knowing how game of a fighter Kohout is!
