British Flyweight Muay Thai Star Jacob Smith To Return At ONE Fight Night 7

Jacob Smith may have come up short in his ONE debut last year, but the British banger is coming back to make things right.

Smith returns to the flyweight Muay Thai division at ONE Fight Night 7 on Friday, 24th February, at the illustrious Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, where he is set to meet promotional newcomer Worawit Madadam. 

The Brit was last seen in the quarterfinals of ONE’s Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix at ONE 157 in May. That evening, he was tasked with battling iconic striker Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

Smith might not have gotten the nod when the action ended, but his performance in the three-round affair was certainly noteworthy.

The 30-year-old will enters his upcoming contest on a mission to get back to winning ways and show what he is all about. Given that he is fighting out of Bad Company, with the likes of Liam “Hitman” Harrison to train with, Jacob Smith will no doubt be ready for anything his opponent throws at him.

His journey to stardom is nothing short of inspiring. After realizing his lifestyle would only lead somewhere bad, the Birkenhead native turned his life around. He has worked hard to become a role model for many, and a win in ONE would set his momentum rolling.

Standing in his way, though, is Worawit – a Thai native who is hot from the country’s Muay Thai circuit and looking to announce himself on ONE’s global stage with a win.

The Singaore-based promotion’s flyweight Muay Thai division is stacked from top to bottom, and this bout could have significant consequences for the winner. This ensures that both strikers will give it their all when they square off at ONE Fight Night 7 next month.
