Michael ‘Venom’ Page announces free agency from Bellator
By
VM StaffFormer Bellator title challenger Michael ‘Venom’ Page has made the announcement that he will be testing free agency. The Englishman took to Ariel Helwani’s MMA Hour to break the news that he had not re-signed with the promotion that has housed 19 of his 23 professional MMA bouts.
Page, who has been one of Bellator’s biggest stars for years, last fought at Bellator 292, where he finished Goiti Yamauchi in just twenty-six seconds. Prior to that, the Hackney striker dropped a split decision to Logan Storley in an interim title fight, as well as a majority decision loss to Mike Perry in a bare-knuckle boxing match.
As of writing, no promotions have approached ‘MVP’, but some fans have speculated that PFL may try to add Page to their roster. Bellator may also re-sign him, though it’s unclear whether that’s the route either party is wishing to pursue.
Given his dalliance into the world of bare-knuckle boxing and training with KSI at London Shootfighters, it’s also possible that Page would make the move to the squared circle. Everything at this point, however, is speculation.
