Lito Adiwang Set For Rematch With Jeremy Miado at ONE Fight Night 16
By
VM StaffIt’s been 18 months since Lito Adiwang and Jeremy Miado first met in ONE Championship. And after an underwhelming ending to their clash at ONE X last March, the pair are set to lock horns once more in an explosive strawweight MMA matchup at the promotion’s next event.
The rematch goes down on Saturday, 4th November, at ONE Fight Night 16: Haggerty vs. Andrade, live from Bangkok, Thailand’s Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.
Their highly anticipated first encounter met an anticlimactic close early in the second stanza when Adiwang suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Miado was handed the TKO win as a result, and “Thunder Kid” was forced to sit on the sidelines for an undetermined amount of time.
“The Jaguar” went on to earn his fourth consecutive finish in October 2022 against multiple-time ONE World Title challenger Danial Williams. But his fine run of form fell victim to a first-round submission loss against Mansur Malachiev this past June at ONE Fight Night 11.
Miado will be looking to regain momentum in his upcoming bout, but Adiwang is coming to make a statement.
With rehab complete and his knee fully recovered, the former ranked star returned to competition this past September at ONE Friday Fights 34 and needed just 23 seconds to blitz through Adrian Mattheis.
With a perfect comeback under his belt, Lito Adiwang will look to avenge that fateful night in March 2022 and continue to climb up the strawweight MMA ladder when he meets Miado on Saturday, 4th November, at ONE Fight Night 16.
