Wilson Reis vs Johnny Campbell official for CW 126

Former UFC title challenger Wilson Reis returns to Cage Warriors will go toe-to-toe in a bantamweight contest at CW 126 against Johnny Campbell, 1st August in San Diego, CA.

Reis returns to Cage Warriors, after previously beating Owen Roddy at CW 50 in 2012 in a fight of the night performance, and amassing a 12 fight run in the UFC that saw him challenge for the flyweight title.

Campbell comes to Cage Warriors with a 21-13 (1 NC) record with 15 finishes to his name, and a win over Kris Moutino who makes his UFC debut on Saturday at UFC 264.

Speaking on this addition to CW 126, Cage Warriors president, Graham Boylan, said:

“This is a great fight to have on the card between two experienced guys. Reis has UFC experience under his belt and is deadly on the ground with his submission skills. Campbell is also bringing some serious finishing ability to the fight too, so I’m excited to see how it plays out.”

Speaking on his return to Cage Warriors, Reis said:

“What an amazing event! I’m so happy to fight again in Cage Warriors after almost 10 years. This will be an amazing show in my adopted home of San Diego.”

Between the two men, they possess 26 finishes, with Wilson Reis holding 11 submission wins on his record.

Talking about his opponent, Campbell said:

“I look forward to smashing a UFC veteran and spreading the name “Cupcakes” throughout the world. It will be a huge honor to perform for the Cage Warriors fans.”

Fans may have seen Johnny Campbell previously where he had a confrontation with Adam Ventre following Joe Gianetti missing weight at CW 111.
