Chuck Liddell teases return via Bare Knuckle fighting

UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell has teased a return to action once again.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Liddell has teased an interest in making a bare-knuckle debut. The Iceman was ringside for BKFC19, working on commentary for the Vanzant vs Ostovich clash.

Liddell’s co-workers at the broadcast booth offered the Oldman, I mean, the Iceman a question which obviously lingered on his mind. “What kind of offer would it take to cross into bare-knuckle fighting?”

“It would depend”, Liddell responded, “If they pay enough money, sure. It all depends on what they come up with. If they’re interest come and talk to me.” He also added that he had a discussion with BKFC president Dave Feldman in the past, but shed no more light on the talk.

Liddell was a killer in the early UFC days, with unfathomable power in his hands. Unfortunately, time has passed since his days of domination.

Liddells last win in the combat sports world came when George Bush was president of the United States of America, “Umbrella” by Rihanna was top of the charts and the Sony Ericcson was the COOLEST phone to have. Liddell went on to lose 4-fights in a row, most recently to the hands of nemesis Tito Ortiz over in Golden Boy Promotions in 2018.

It’s safe to say his most recent performance doesn’t warrant a return to the brutal world of fighting, especially at the age of 51. However, stranger things have happened in the past few years in the bizarre world of combat sports. Go get em’, Grandpa.
