Violent One: Dominique Wooding
By
VM StaffAnother month has passed and we have a new Violent One as Dominique Wooding takes home the award following the fan vote.
”Black Panther” secured June’s Violent One award following his highlight reel finish over Cameron Hardy at Cage Warriors 124.
As the bell rang for the opening round, both fighters engaged in a brief back and forth. Wooding wasted no time in making an impact, throwing and landing a thunderous head-kick on the minute mark of the round, sending his opponent crashing to the canvas. Hardy stands up and eats a knee in the clinch before separating, leading Wooding to throw a hook before landing flush with the left hand, yet again sending Hardy to the canvas.
Hardy once again gets back to his feet but Wooding can taste the finish. Pouncing towards his prey before landing a brutal right hook, levelling his opponent for the final time in the contest.

Following the victory, VMTV caught up with Dominique for an episode of VMTV Vaults in which he called out rival bantamweight’s Liam Gittins and Nathan Fletcher. With Cage Warriors next ”Trilogy” event set for October, fans are eagerly waiting for Wooding’s next fight to be announced (and not on the prelims!).
The Violent One is a monthly showcase which shines a light on athletes who have made waves in the MMA community through their actions in the cage. Each month four athletes are selected and you, the fans, vote on who is crowned our King or Queen of violence!
