LFL 3: Former Glory Champions Wilnis & Groenhart Headline

Two former Glory kickboxing champions will headline LFL 3 on October 10th behind closed doors in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, live around the world on LFLMMA.com and FITE.tv

Former Glory middleweight champion Jason Wilnis (1-0), who has a win over Israel Adesanya, returns for his sophomore MMA appearance. The 30-year-old made his debut at LFL 2 defeating Denmark’s Erhan Okuroglu via first round KO during the summer and will now face Egypt’s Mohamed Ghalab (6-2) in the main event.

During his kickboxing career Wilnis scored wins over the likes of Alex Pereira, Joe Schilling, Filip Verlinden, and Simon Marcus.

Following Wilnis into MMA is former Glory welterweight & K-1 Max champion Murthel Groenhart (0-0). The 34-year-old has almost one hundred kickboxing bouts behind him and has faced legends such as Nieky Holzken, Robin van Roosmalen, Sitthichai, and Artem Levin.

In 2017 he captured the Glory title with a win over Cedric Doumbe and in 2019 he won the Glory interim-championship with a KO win over America’s Troy Jones.

Now embarking on a new venture, Groenhart will face former Glory fighter Mohamed Soumah (0-0) in the co-main event. The French striker, who is also making his MMA debut, has over thirty kickboxing bouts.
