Nathan Greyson says “Boo Deez Nutts” as he gives fans the finger at CW 127
By
VM StaffFormer Cage Warriors flyweight champion Nathan Greyson was present outside… and inside the cage at CW 127 as he cheered on friend Dominique Wooding during his title winning knockout of Nathan Fletcher.
Despite being the hometown fighter, Dominique Wooding was met with a reception of unmerciful boo’s throughout the fight. From the opening bell Fletcher used his trademark grappling skills shooting for takedowns and trying to keep Wooding pinned for the first and most of the second round. Going into the third round however, Wooding showed his composure stunning the visitor with a knee before applying strikes which sent Fletcher back peddling before finally taking him to church and claiming Cage Warriors gold.
An ecstatic moment which led to Nathan Greyson jumping into the cage to celebrate with his long-time friend before being escorted from the cage by security. It was here as Greyson approached the barrier back into the crowd he was knocked back by the sound of boo’s still echoing from the audience. Corporate thuggin’, Greyson raised both hands and gave the one finger salute.
In the footage you can see the former Cage Warriors champion walk directly in front of the hostile crowd and give the fingers before jumping back over the fence and giving one final stare before being escorted from the building.
Speaking on his actions, the co-founder of Violent Money stated he gave the finger due to the sheer disrespect shown towards Wooding during the build up of the fight and afterwards when he had defeated Nathan Fletcher. The York Hall crowd could be heard booing at their peak as the referee waves the contest off and when the official decision is announced.
Whilst some would argue the crowd was supporting the fighter they wanted to win, the same argument can be made that it’s bad sportsmanship jeering as the winners hand is being raised.
