Ivan “Choko” Castillo faces Marcos “Lobo” Lloreda in Combate Global main event Oct. 8th

VM StaffCombate Global today announced a complete, six-bout Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fight card, live on Paramount+ on Friday, Oct. 8 from Miami, Fla. In the welterweight (170 pounds) main event, Mexico’s Ivan “Choko” Castillo (20-12) will square off with American Marcos “Lobo” Lloreda (10-6).
The 31-year-old Ivan Castillo of Ensenada, B.C. is looking to notch his fourth consecutive victory after defeating Colombia’s Dumar Roa via unanimous decision at Combate Global on July 2.
Like Castillo, the 29-year-old Lloreda, who hails from Miami, is aiming for his fourth straight win following his unanimous decision victory over Bryan McDowell in a Combate Global matchup on June 25.
In a featured women’s bantamweight (135 pounds) contest, Pamela Boveda Aguirre (5-3) of Miami will battle Kaytlin “Katniss” Neill (4-4) of Las Vegas, Nev.
Another featured matchup at welterweight will see Heriberto “Rudo” Tovar of Pachuca, Mexico take on undefeated Trey “Deep” Waters (3-0) of Jacksonville, Fla.
Topping the undercard bill will be a heavyweight bout between Giovanni “Bam Bam” Sarran (t6-4) of Palmdale, Calif. and Marcus Gamble (3-1) of Pembroke Pines, Fla.
In flyweight (125 pounds) action, Taylor Ikona Mamiya (0-1) of Honolulu, Hawaii will take on German Orpineda Ponce (0-2) of Chihuahua, Chih., Mexico.
Jessica Ruiz (0-2) of Baldwin, N.Y. will meet Andrea Soraluz (2-4) of Miami in a strawweight (115 pounds) matchup.
Paramount+ live coverage will begin with a Combate Global pre-show at 10:30 p.m. ET/9:30 p.m. CT, and will continue with the live fight action, beginning at 11:00 p.m. ET/10:00 p.m. CT.
In addition, this week’s Combate coverage is complemented on CBS Sports Network with back-to-back, one-hour recap shows on Thursday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT and 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT, respectively. The 8 p.m. ET program will recap the Combate Global event that took place on September 17, while the 9 p.m. ET program will recap the Combate Global event that took place on October 1.
