Czech MMA Fighter Faces Jail After Praising Russian War In Ukraine

Czech MMA fighter and former bodybuilder Filip Grznar has been prosecuted by local authorities after praising Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

In a video uploaded to Facebook, which is now deleted, the 37-year old Grznar seeked to justify why war is a “freedom” before declaring his desire for one to take place in his own country. You can see a transcription of his comments below. (H/T Bloody Elbow)

“There is no right in a war. In a war, you can commit angry crime, which I like, it’s a dream. And only the strongest will survive. I just want there to be a war in the Czech Republic. I want a war. It’s the only freedom, because you know you can grab at any time and kill anyone at the same time. And that’s just good. I want a war in the Czech Republic and I will do everything for it.”

It didn’t take long for the local police to catch wind of Filip Grznar’s comments who swiftly charged the Czech MMA fighter with inciting crime. If found guilty, he could face a maximum of two years in prison which was confirmed by a source close to the investigation.

“He is accused of an offense of incitement to a crime, for which he faces a maximum of two years if he is found guilty,”

Shamefully, this isn’t the first time that Grznar’s foul comments have got him in trouble with law enforcement. Back in 2017 it was reported the former bodybuilder celebrated the murder of a Romani driver in the city of Chomutov, before threatening other members of the Roma community with murder.

Filip Grznar was last seen competing in MMA back in November 2021 where he snapped a three fight losing streak by defeating Jaroslav Olah via TKO in the second round.
