Bellator 292 | Usman Nurmagomedov defends title against MMA Legend Benson Henderson!

Bellator 292 saw two of the Grand Prix fights take place in the lightweight division, with both Usman Nurmagomedov and Alexander Shabliy who was the first fighter to advance when he took on Tofiq Musayev.

Usman Nurmagomedov was able to dispatch Henderson in quick succession, showcasing his dominance and extending his spotless record to 17 wins and 0 losses. However, on the other hand, this fight was the last for Henderson who ended what has been a phenomenal career at the highest level for a decade and more.

With Bellator 292 closing, we saw many great moments and some historical ones also. It sees another great show in the books for the promotion and another showcase of how good the Bellator rosters are becoming as well.

What next for Usman Nurmagomedov?

Advancing through the quarter-finals, Nurmagomedov can potentially face either Brent Primus or French superstar Mansour Barnaoui who many fans have been eager to see once again in the cage after his Bellator debut back in September against Piccolotti.

With a win over the former champion in Patricky Pitbull already it’s hard to see another fighter who could potentially win this tournament apart from Barnaoui or Pitbull in the rematch.
