Tawanchai Wants Superbon Next After ONE Fight Night 15 Victory

ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai had a memorable night at the office this past weekend at ONE Fight Night 15, but it wasn’t all one-way traffic.

The stoic Thai faced “Smokin” Jo Nattawut in kickboxing action this past Saturday, 7th October, at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, and his opponent was definitely not just there to make up the numbers.

Tawanchai was initially set to defend his World Title against former featherweight kickboxing king Superbon Singha Mawynn in the headlining bout, but his legendary foe had to withdraw due to injury.

The PK Saenchai superstar was offered a late-notice kickboxing showdown with Nattawut further down the card instead, and the pair put on a captivating battle that went the distance.

Ultimately, Tawanchai earned the unanimous decision win, but he credited his compartiot for his physical attributes and fortitude throughout the contest.

“It was something beyond my expectation,” the 24-year-old confessed. “Once I saw his body, I knew he had been training well and preparing himself.”

When it was announced that Tawanchai and Superbon would meet in featherweight Muay Thai, the response from fans was pure ecstasy. And an equally anticlimactic air fell when the news broke that the contest wasn’t to be.

But having left Lumpinee Stadium with a well-earned win, Tawanchai assured the world that he only has eyes for Superbon next.

Whether it be kickboxing or Muay Thai, the striking phenom will soon begin preparations for the biggest battle of his flourishing career.

“It is something that I want because all the fans are looking forward to this fight,” Tawanchai said.

“There is no one else on my list or my mind right now. I want to finish my fight with Superbon once and for all.”
